What a good day! First day in kwartzlab’s physical space as tenants. Ben, Bevan, Gus, Andrew, Ed, James, John, Alex, and I came out to clean up the space today.

Lots of leftovers from the previous tenant. There was a reason they left the fridge and stove behind: they don’t work.

Ben found a stash of herbal remedies including witch hazel. Ben! It’s not a beer, don’t drink it!

Andrew gets all the credit for scrubbing the hell out of the kitchen sink. Better than new.

Double credit for Bevan (and Ben) who rolled in at 10am, 2 hours before all of us. Go boys!

This is how Alex relaxes after final exams ;-) He’s on window detail with me and Gus.

‘Cause, yeah, the windows were covered in some odd combination of that spray-on fake snow, black, and yellow paint. Crikey! Nothing that can’t be remedied with 3 hours and 3 scrapers. Now that the windows are clean, I need an extension ladder to get cleaning these babies from the outside. Also need to repair the caulking externally so we don’t lose any of these precious panes.
