Oct. 1 -- Bring out your projects!! Especially unfinished ones!On October first, we're going to have a fantastic party at the Lab...but! We want to show off the great things that Kwartzlabbers can and will do in our shiny new digs. What do we need? Projects!! We want you to gather the projects you've been working on, putting off, or even finished, so they can be displayed. They're a great way to start conversations and show off your mad skillz! I'll be keeping a list here, you can either add your project(s) to the list here or e-mail me, amackie0556@rogers.com, and I'll add it to the list. Then, just make sure the projects are in the space by September 27th. If you can't make it to the big party, no problem! We can set out your projects for you, along with any descriptive sheets/songbooks/billboards. Cheers,

WCI eCar tester
I can bring in the test rig the kids at WCI built last spring - we built this in order to give them an idea of what was required for the 'principles of electric vehicles'.
It's big and ugly, but pretty cool when you consider it's the precursor to their eCar that will run in this year's Oktoberfest parade...
I might even have a test-rig for the larger controller they need to use on the eCar itself.
EdB
Doc can bring...
A chunk of my current vehicle tracking project... I'll setup a 8" 2x20 VFD to spit out SMS messages that people can send to the arduino. Nothing fancy, but some sort of interactive thingamajig, anyway ;)
DW is bringing...
Sounds Awesome - I will bring Lefty
:) this sounds like it is going to be quite the party, You can sign me up, I will bring a terrestrial robotics platform I have started prototyping, Wife named it Lefty (on first boot it only turned left). Hopefully I will have received the new steering servo by the time of the event and I will be able to show the autonomous as ROV mode to this project
I've got a few...
I can bring my touchscreen poster, my Thingamaplush (yes, you read properly - details in a few days!), one of my guitar pedals, and maybe my solar powered digital picture frame. That last one is broken at the moment, hopefully I can fix it in time. Oh, I've also got a water bottle rocket launcher. And an LED bar graph clock. And an Electric Ovaloid.
As for the laser guitar, I don't know if I'll get it back in time. It's being shipped to CLASSIFIED for a special event hosted by CLASSIFIED.

Portable gaming platform
It's not actually doing much more than imitating a purple spaghetti dinner at the moment, but I have big dreams for this unholy matrimony of Boarduino, dot-matrix screen, speaker and joystick. Hopefully it'll be bleeping and flashing by the party!
Hillbilly Amp
Yep, it's a one-trick pony, but it's a good one. I'll be bringing ye olde hillbilly amplifier. If the gods of electricity and soldering allow, it'll even be kicking out some fresh beats for the party.
