[KwartzAnnounce] New Member Candidate: Michael Hiemstra

Good Evening, KwartzLabbers!

I'm very pleased to announce that we have a new member applicant, who 
the Board will be voting on at the next Board Meeting (scheduled for 
Wednesday October 21): Michael Hiemstra. Some of you will recognize him 
from Make:KW, and the early planning stages of KwartzLab.

If you have any comments you would like to make regarding Michael's 
candidacy, please post them to the members' discussion list before 
Wednesday. While any applicant's induction is up to the Board, how we 
vote is heavily influenced by the feedback we receive from you.

In cases where the Board receives little or no feedback, and we don't 
know the applicant ourselves, we will vote to postpone voting on the 
applicant's induction, and ask them to come out to more "open" events.

This is our first non-charter member, so if you have any questions about 
the new member application process in general, feel free to post them to 
the members' discussion list as well, or come out to the Board Meeting.
