[KwartzAnnounce] Special Board Meeting April 15th - Suspension of a Membership

Dear members,

It is my displeasure to announce a special Board meeting for April 15th
at 7:30 PM at KwartzLab.  At this meeting we will be considering the
question of suspending the membership of Michael Kowalski, and the
question of beginning the process of terminating it.

Michael has not paid his membership dues for March or April, and
attempts to contact him by email and by phone have been unanswered.  In
accordance with our bylaws, Michael was notified by email five days
before this meeting.

There are three motions on the agenda for this meeting.  The first is to
suspend his membership for 30 days.  The Board has the power to do this
in the case of unpaid dues.  The second is a special resolution to
terminate his membership.  A special resolution is one that has to be
passed by the Board, then passed again at a general meeting for it to be
effective.  The third motion calls the general meeting to consider the
special resolution.

Obviously, we'd rather not have to go down this path, so if you have any
information about what's going on with Michael, please let a Director
know.

As with any other Board meeting, this one is open to members, so feel
free to attend.  If you have any questions, feel free to ask them on the
members list, or address them to me personally.
