[KwartzLab] 3D printer progress, July 6th (delayed)

Over the past couple of weeks I have made the main feeder body for the new extruder. It was made in two halves, with the cavity for the pinch roller and its shaft cut into the surfaces that would ultimately be glued together.
[Description: C:\Users\Public\Pictures\KwartzLab\3D Printer\New Extruder\Feeder\D pocket milled Small.JPG]I milled the two halves of the cavity back-to-back, so they had an oval shape. All the pencil lines are just there to provide sanity checking before I let the CNC go wild.
[Description: C:\Users\Public\Pictures\KwartzLab\3D Printer\New Extruder\Feeder\Clamped for glueing Small.JPG]After cleaning up the rough edges, the two halves were glued together with regular carpenter's glue. Three machinist's clamps were used to hold the pieces while the glue dried.

[Description: C:\Users\Public\Pictures\KwartzLab\3D Printer\New Extruder\Feeder\Finished Small.JPG] More milling, drilling, and tapping yielded the finished piece.
After this all the other parts have very simple geometries to make.
