I won't be coming along... I'm already going to Toronto two other evenings that week.
Hopefully you will come back with the whys and wherefores to any tuning success, and not just a printing system that has been "somehow improved"
Upon reading (and re-reading multiple times) the documentation for the reprap app and its preferences, I've had a couple of minor epiphanies which make what is going on much clearer. When I have a chance I will be adding these to our 3D printer wiki pages (probably on another new page).
One thing I have noticed is that the online reprap documentation does not exactly match (my recollection of) the app we have; I am assuming this documentation is for a newer version, and it might be worthwhile to install that newer version on the host system.
I also added a comment to your blog post from earlier this year regarding text STL files which do not load properly (which the online reprap documentation links to). I added a suggested 'sed' command which should correct such STL files, since there seemed to be a (slight) demand for a one-line fixup command.
