Once our 3D printer achieves acceptable print quality, we should think
of ways to use it to engage the general public, and hopefully bring
people into the lab.  Something like this, maybe.

Cool service, they have a web interface to design your "robot"
(actually it'll never move, so it's more like a robot figurine), and
then you pay and they 3D print it and ship it to you.  The article
says it's a "ceramic-like" material, so I'm guessing the printer is
one of the multi-color commercial ceramic 3D printers.

Somebody should do this in the Open Source world!  It'd be especially
cool if we could make the robots articulate, which should totally be
possible with plastic...
