[KwartzLab] ideas for a laser cutter workshop

I was looking around for projects that can be built using a laser
cutter, for use in a pubic workshop to publicize our laser and get
people into the lab.

I found this 8 legged walking robot.  Laser cut plexiglass, boardino,
2 servos, 2-3 hours assembly time.  Fully open source. Beautiful
design based on the famous Strandbeest.
