[KwartzLab] How many blades??

We are doing the event in the atrium of The Museum. For our own
sanity, I think we should limit the event to 10 simultaneous carvers.
We need to establish a fixed upper limit so that we can plan for the
number of tables we need, the number of volunteers we need, and so
that we can maintain the correct ratio of carving instructors to
students. If other people accept my proposed magic number of "10",
then I think that 20 blades will be fine (for an average of 5 pumpkins
per blade--hopefully this is conservative). This multiplier of x2 is
also open to debate. How many pumpkins can you carve with a blade
before it probably needs replacing? What are the failure modes?
Expert opinion is solicited. What do you think, Jeff, based on your
prior experience of running such an event?
Doug.
