I've attached James' Hacky Halloween poster, and I'm redirecting this
discussion to the public list, so that non-member volunteers can pitch
in.
Here's my feedback. Visually, the poster looks great. But we need to
work on the content, because there is a competing pumpkin carving
event at Kitchener Market at the same time, and we need to
differentiate ourselves.
It is a pumpkin carving contest:
10am-11am: 1 Pumpkin per family, available to the first 50 families
*Please bring your own carving tools and decorations
**Prizes awarded for the following categories: Funniest pumpkin,
scariest pumpkin, prettiest pumpkin, most original
Our propaganda needs to emphasize why our event is better. We have
free pumpkins for all, and we provide pumpkin carving tools and
patterns. We teach pumpkin carving skills, instead of just providing
a space where you do it yourself. You don't have to bring anything.
Some photos of Jeff's pumpkin patterns would help.
Doug.
