[KwartzLab] Stitch'n'Bitch and Square2Square - Sunday, September 18th

Hi all,

We've finally gotten confirmation that we can set up our
Stitch'n'Bitch session on King Street in front of Queen of Hearts
Costumes (near Spring Street). It'll be in conjunction with car-free
Sunday, so there will be people wandering about and checking out what
we do!

The street closes at 10:30 a.m.; as our setup is pretty minimal (as
far as I know, just us and our chairs and maybe a folding table?), we
can get ready just before then, and set ourselves down once the
street has been closed. The street will open again at 3:00 p.m. so
strike will begin at 2:45 p.m. to be sure we can get out of the
way :) In the interim, we plan to yarnbomb the lamppost outside
QoH. For those not in the know, "yarnbombing" is the decoration of
public stuff with stitched stuff (usually knit/crochet) - you have
probably seen it around K-W already. Of course it's not mandatory
that you do that - feel free to work on whatever project you like!

All you need to bring is yourself and your stitchery - crochet,
knitting, cross-stitch, tatting, latch-hook, crewel, whatever you do!
- and something to sit on. You may also want to bring your own
refreshments.

So, to summarise:

Date: Sunday, September 18th
Time: 10:30 a.m.-2:45 p.m.

If you have any questions or concerns (or if I've forgotten
something), please don't hesitate to contact me at
katchan at lilbluekat.net or Stephanie at punkin at mag3.14519.ca.

See you there!

Katrina
