Calling all crafters & fibre enthusiasts!
The evening of Monday, April 30, we'll be opening our lounge for a public Stitch'n'Bitch. Traditionally, a stitch'n'bitch was an opportunity for women to catch up on their knitting, while socializing. But guys are welcome, and we don't particularly care what sort of project you work on. If its hand-held, doesn't require too much quiet concentration, and easy to manage while curled up in a comfy chair, its fair game for our stitch'n'bitch!
We have knitters, crocheters, tatters, needle-pointers, chain-mailers, and latch-hookers in the lab, so this is a perfect opportunity to learn a new craft. If you're interested in trying something new out, and don't have all the equipment, let us know; somebody may have hooks or needles to share. We've also got a manual knitting machine, which could use some love.
Agnes Niewiadomski, our April Artist-in-Resident, will be joining us, so this is also a wonderful opportunity to check out her work!
