I thought I had spammed the Kwartzlab list about this already, but
apparently not. The Working Centre is hosting Software Freedom Day
again this year, but we will be holding it Saturday, September 22,
from about 10am to 3pm. Details are here:
http://www.theworkingcentre.org/sfd (which redirects to
http://wiki.softwarefreedomday.org/2012/Canada/Kitchener/TWC)
We could use volunteering help of all kinds (publicity,
installfest/supportfest, donations, organizing) but I think Kwartzlab
members might be especially adept at offering presentations. Even
though the name of the event is *Software* Freedom Day there is
certainly room for presentations on the open hardware projects many of
you have been doing (and which you have been diligently documenting on
the blog). For example, I think people would find a presentation on
something like the Hacky Halloween adventure pretty fascinating.
If you would be willing to help out (in whatever capacity) please let
me know.
