This is robotshops way of getting some publicity about their new robot
cloud thingy. Which if I understand correctly is basically a database of
robots and types, and possibly some online inputs/outputs from the
robots at various times.
I like the idea of this compition and am interested in participating. We
need to submit an idea for a robot by Feb 18, and we will receive some
parts to help with the hackathon. Very cool.
Some ideas I've had for this competition are for social interaction at
parties or meetings:
1. popcorn flinger. (Throw popcorn or pingpong balls at unsuspecting
people, just for the fun of it).
2. Individualized people Fetcher. Think of a dog, Jill says "Go see
Sam", Sam says "Go see Fred", Fred says "Go see Jill", Robot runs around
between people, possibly bringing messages or beer.
3. Singing robot.... Sings in a high warbally voice and follows one
random individual around, tracking by their shoes.
Anyone interested?
