Sorry Mark, I didnt see your earlier message. If your dad doesnt end up wanting the 488ca i'd love to rebuild it for the lab.

Jim Hughes would like to drop off two HP plotters on Tuesday.

One is 24", needs a new sensor strip. The other is 36", needs a new print head. You could take the print head out of the 24" to fix the 36".
  The 36" is a DesignJet 488ca
  The 24" is a DesignJet 650c

Does anybody specifically wish to accept responsibility for these plotters, either to rebuild them into working order, or in order to scavenge them for parts? If so, tell Jim.

If nobody wants to take responsibility for these plotters, I'll ask Jim not to bring them in.

I should be able to drop them off next Tuesday. Would much rather they get rebuilt or recycled then trashed.

There appears to be some interest from members, either to fix them or scavenge them for parts. Do you have model number for the 36" plotter?

To donate, you can bring in the plotters on any Tuesday evening between 7pm and 10pm -- that's when we have our open house. Other arrangements can also be negotiated.

Message	I have two HP plotters I would donate. One is 24", needs a new sensor strip. The other is 36", needs a new print head. Was planning on taking the print head out of the 24" to fix the 36". Never got it done, and have no time. Would rather donate then throw them out. Could even be scavenged for parts for other projects.
If you are interested please let me know. powered by cformsII
