through Google while looking up something else, and wanted to fill you
in on the store we're opening.

We opened the store in early January in a plaza run by a business
contact of ours. They had a small unit with little visibility and
wondered if we would be interested in running a small branch as a
pilot project. If you're familiar with either of out Toronto locations
you know we have a great deal of stock and are always looking for new
places and ways to display it. Our stock is limited, in part due to
space, but also because we are trying to get a feel for our customers.
We tailor some stock options to the regions they serve, for instance,
Queen has a great deal of art supplies, and Steeles has industrial
components.

We have worked with KW Surplus for many years, in fact they were first
opened by the original owners of Active Surplus, but they have moved
away from traditional surplus goods. We opened our new store not as a
competitor, but to offer some of the types of goods they no longer
choose to carry. We hope to be "good neighbours" to them, and offer
different product and expertise, and hope to continue the partnership
that we have developed over the 30 years we have done business
together.

Recently we had to close the doors at our little branch due to lack of
qualified staff. Our last employee left to a profession more in line
with his training. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual
or individuals, with motivation, creativity, and good technical
skills. As Active Surplus is not limited to electronics parts, our
staff is not limited to electronics knowledge. If you or members of
your group are interested in working with us and our plans for the new
