Coming out of last week's AwesomeCamp/brainstorming session, we've
decided to start doing monthly talks. And we'll need your help!

The second Tuesday of the month will feature a talk (or talks or demos
or whatever) by either a member or some other awesome maker in the
community that a member has brought in to speak.

That could be you!

The first talk will be Tuesday, June 12th at 7:30pm. The speaker will
be our newest member, Alex Mackinnon.

Talks can be anything from 5 minutes to an hour. You can do a formal
presentation with slides and stuff, or gather everyone around a bench
and show people how to do something.

There aren't really any rules. The audience is makers (ie., us) and
the talk should ideally be something that appeals to makers. Although
no (ridiculously blatant) sales pitches, please.

Every month we'll recruit a Kwartzlab member to find someone to give a
talk. They can give the talk themselves, or find some other awesome
maker to do it. If you're not a member, you're more than welcome to
step forward and volunteer.

I've created a wiki page with a schedule here:
http://www.kwartzlab.ca/wiki/Monthly_Talks

If you want to sign up for a month, by all means, go ahead!

Also, it'd be awesome if we could get talks up on Youtube. Anyone
interested in volunteering to make that happen? :)
