[KwartzLab] Felt Lab Tour: Monday July 11 at 6:30 pm

I've arranged a tour of the Felt Lab on Monday July 11 at 6:30 pm.
I hope the time works for most people. Agnes asked for a weekday.
Chris wants "late afternoon", but I don't want it too early, because I
figure many people are going to be at work during standard work hours.
So I'm suggesting 6:30 pm.
Christopher wants to play with the toys, so I've arranged that (see below).
This will mostly be a talk and a tour, so that we can figure out where
our mutual interests lie, and how the two labs can work together.
There will be opportunities to play with a subset of the equipment,
and expanded opportunities at later visits.
Doug.

Hi Doug
We are currently working on documentation of the capabilities and "how
to" documentation for all the equipment in our lab. We're not quite
ready to be able to support working with all the pieces of the
equipment, however, there are some things you can work with easily.
Next week, I could accommodate a visit/tour either Monday or Tuesday,
afternoon or evening - June 11 or 12. The week after that is also
wide open and we should have better documentation by then.
In terms of equipment you can play with before I have documentation, we have
GestureTek Cube (you can bring images or flash programs and we can
load them up and play with the effects).
Christie Digital MicroTiles - Essentially they are like a monitor so
we could connect them as a display to whatever you have. Our wall is
a 4x6 array of tiles so it's quite large and you can display large
resolution images/videos.
We might be able to add the Kinect Camera with the MicroTile wall if
you want to experiment with any Kinect Hacks.
I could also provide a list of equipment we have and if you want to
explore them further we can talk about arranging that as well.
Let me know what you'd like to do. Perhaps a tour and talk might be a
good start?
Thanks!
Jennifer
