P2P group tomorrow is the kick-off

Hi All,



I thought I should let you know that Communitech is kicking off a new
Digital Media Arts & Technology Peer2Peer group in a collaboration
effort with a local SIGGRAPH chapter and wanted to share in case you
are interested in participating.  This group is currently open to the
public, so all are welcome.



The first session is tomorrow at 5 pm and will run about 60 – 90 minutes



The speaker is Dr. Paul Salvini.  Paul will entertain us with stories
of his past at SideFX software dealing with Artists and Scientists and
also delve into how Christie is trying to cross the chasm educating
and promoting High Frame Rate cinema… We will discuss the challenges
from a human factors and user experience perspective, the pipeline
from a technology standpoint and the artistic impact of having HFR
available to cinematographers.
