[KwartzLab] The hackability of the Playbook

Settle an Internet debate for me, o people who know more about RIM
products than I do...

Back at a DevHouse many months ago, I got the impression that an
individual with sufficient knowledge could do a lot of hacking around
on Playbooks.  I'm vague on details.

A fellow on Twitter suggested he might give away his Playbook which he
acquired at some dev event.  I suggested that he drop it off at
Kwartzlab as it had hacking potential (it would probably end up in my
bin, once I finally get one...)

He disputed my characterization, citing a locked-down bootloader and
few opportunities for hardware intervention.

Is my statement in any way correct?  Would you classify the Playbook
as "hackable"?
