This is going to be a very important case for open source 3D printing.
Anyone want to read the patent and investigate the Form1 in detail
and see if they are in fact infringing? The Form1 guys claim that
they looked at the 3D systems patents and the important ones had
expired. But that doesn't mean they aren't going to be tripped up by
an "unimportant" one...
Also, I've never heard of the B9Creator http://b9creator.com/ but it
looks pretty awesome as well. DLP based UV curing, you can place a
preorder $2495 now for the second batch (the first batch is already
all shipped to their kickstarter backers). Anyone know anyone who got
one?
