I'm not entirely sure I get your question -- you found what you were
looking for; did these fail to meet your requirements in some way?
What kinds of projects are you looking to do? You can absolutely get a
monitor for under $100, but it's unlikely to come with speakers.
For what it's worth, HDMI is literally just DVI + audio. Adapters are
pennies if you pick them up online since there is no conversion necessary
for the signal.
