[KwartzLab] experience w RasPi + webcam + wifi?

Can anyone with actual experience mashing up RaspberryPi + USB webcam and wifi please contact me at dw at makebright.com?  I need to get some wifi-enabled webcams going for a show and this seems like a $50/cam solution with a lot of flexibility if it works. I'm aware of challenges lighting up raspi wifi *without* a powered hub.  Any help much appreciated.
