Sorry about the late reply. @Doug, That's a very good point.

The conference is going to be happening at Ryerson University in early May (exact date has yet to be confirmed). There is also a conference that we're running in parallel in Vancouver on the same day.

The main idea of the conference is that we're Infecting people with a passion for technology. We already have Mike Shaver from Facebook and Mozilla coming down to speak. Furthermore we're currently working with Facebook to hold a Hackathon at the event. The conference team is just starting to get ramped up, so more of content will be locked down soon.

Traditionally our content has been more geared towards entrepreneurs and software and science lovers. I feel like we're missing a huge mark, by not reaching out to the maker community. This is why I want to partner with some of you Kwartzlabs guys. Every time I go into Kwartzlabs on the open Tuesday nights I always get way more inspired then when I watch TED talks or look at software startups. I feel like there are many people in University that are just like me, but don't know it yet. You guys would help build the next generation of Makers.

@Seth That sounds awesome! We're actually planning to have beer at the Hackathon. So what do you think? Come down to Toronto, get drunk with a bunch awesome tech lovers and Facebook employees? Bask in the glory that your Flamethrower-power keg cooling system will bring? Be a rockstar?

I love the ideas, I'd love to get some cool 3D printing thing going on at the conference. Anyone got some cool stuff they can show off? I'd love to have a breakout session dedicated to 3D printing.

Cheers,

Thomas Millar
